Becoming a Shadow
By Ian Stevens

Day after day, night after night
as time passes the burden grows
and crimes you commit build on;
before long you'll reach towards the light,
but no matter how hard you try you'll know
that the sin has weighed you down so you can't move on...

As the light becomes fader and farther away,
you'll scream for help, yet no one will hear.
Slowly, regrettably you will come to see
that you're becoming the sin's shadow, day by day,
and that the only way for the soul to be clear;
yes there's one way to a new start, it is no dream.

Pray to the lord. Oh repent, repent!

Hope for forgiveness and accept him into our hearts;
live your life with kindness and love.
Help those needing care in times of loneliness and sadness,
so that the spirit can come clean with a new start.
Then you can look towards the light once again and go
to prevent from becoming the corroded darkness.
