Friendship
True
By Ian Stevens
The
girl I know, stronger than a friend;
hand
to hand always by my side,
and
if it were to come to this in the end
never
would let harm come and give myself for her life.
Knowing
that she would do the same for me,
yonder
mountains and deserts she'd come;
over
my spirit she can look through me and see
underneath
my flesh is a gentle soul with love.
For
even though I seem dead and dark
on the inside I try my hardest to
be kind;
rather
than looking at me as a shadow, she sees my reason to lurk,
then
views me as a whole person, a spirit flowing like winds rhyme.
Holding
my hand to from hell and back,
every
scar within me healing because she's by my side.
Pain
leaving my body because she sees me, now I'm not so life lack;
one
spirit that can look beyond shadows and lies.
Ending
my pain she shows true friendship;
then
maybe more than just a friend.
Regaining
my senses, still unsure, but better than before.
Yet
not matter what she shall remain in my heart as love or friend in the
end.
