Power
of Love
By Ian Stevens
Inside my soul is dark shadows,
no light is found nor seen.
My heart feels sunken and quite
shallow;
the spirit tainted and unclean.
I don't know why this is
for love, happiness, and joy
surround.
I feel empty still and have
deaths cold kiss;
my heart is laying on the ground.
I look in the mirror and all I
see
is myself alone, dead and dark.
I'm unaware of what to do and so
I dream,
to become whole and yet I lurk.
True love is what I truly yearn;
I see the girl and believe shes
the one.
My heart becomes restored and
starts to burn
with passion, I feel now not so
alone.
The fire burn brighter
destroying
the shadows,
my spirit feels high and clean.
The soul of mine revived from the
gallows,
a new light is now seen.
She helps me repair the tears
and
seams;
my heart now whole, no emptiness
now lies.
She is all I think about in my
dreams,
I know who I love, my target
precise.
She is the glowing beauty of the
moon,
the gentle flowers and hillside
breeze.
Grace from her healing me and
soon,
I hope for my love, by her be
seized.
I need my soul to be intertwined
with hers;
to love her till the day of my
death.
Holding each other, the passion
and burn ,
loving her with my very last
breath.
My desire is for her to care for
me as I do;
I want to be by her side.
Since I love her, hopefully she
loves me too,
and show that affection till I
die.
My soul, heart, body and mind,
always loving her true.
My love to her is fit and sound,
I only hope to be with her soon.
