The
One
By Ian Stevens
I look upon her
beautiful face,
time seems to stop and admire
her grace.
The heart glows warm with true
love,
soaring across the horizon in
your mind is a dove,
looking down onto the
flickering
flame.
The sight of her destroys all
shame and pain,
she is so moral, intelligent,
passionate, and famed,
the
light that calms, my soul now saved.
My
spirit flowing ecstatically with joy and happiness,
the
words from her lips soothes all sadness.
Any
vulgarness or cruelty,
destroyed
by her stout, strong morality.
The
frozen wasteland that once was my heart,
renewed
by her passionate flame, I have a new start.
Diamonds,
emeralds, silver and gold,
greed
cannot corrupt, her soul can't be sold.
A
rose petal floating in the pond,
the
calm given by her love and beyond.
No
waterfall, horizon, flower or dawn,
can
compare with her beauty that she has drawn.
My
love of her can go on and on,
longer
than any known poem or song.
That
one hole bored into my spirit,
filled
with the love, the dark now lit,
by
her soul and rapture,
my
heart is hers, my mind is captured.
Thinking
only about her beauty, like the radiance of the sun,
inside
I know that she is the one.
