Truth
By Ian Stevens

Doubt, mistakes, and fear flying throughout my mind,
our love together seems fogged and unclear;
we act like we do, but questions arise since doubt is too kind,
everyday I wonder if this is real or if pain is near.

Hell within my heart has risen before,
and a scar cut deep in me remains.
Vastly abroad, dark and still quite sore
every time I see you, my soul feels changed.

To a love struck zombie, then a doubtful fool memories flood in,
reaping happiness, I fear of a repeat of the past.
Underneath layers of uncertainty and fear I see
envy towards those with truth, I hope this does not last.

Love is important and I need it soon,
only you can find the answer and finally know;
venturing through the deepest places with only light from the moon,
even though doubt is within me, I believe this love is true.
