The Bay

Seattle city center sits just a bit north of west of Elliott bay. The bay is defined as that part of Puget Sound east of the line between Alki Point in the south to West Point in the north. It is not unusual to see fog on the Sound, but have the bay clear.

To the north of city center, there is a grain elevator and a loading dock that regularly sees bulk carrier ships tied up along side.
