Downtown Seattle

Seattle is a city built up within a forrest. Here's a shot from Elliot Ave. up the hill towards one of the downtown apartment buildings.

And another picture from Elliot Ave. Trees everywhere!

Yes, this is a picture taken on one of the busiest streets in downtown Seattle. Trees, trees, trees and more trees. Framed this way, it looks like a road-side store out in the middle of the country.

Seattle is famous for being the birthplace of Starbucks. But the moment Starbucks got to be a big company, many turned their backs on it in disgust. Thus the small, independent, drive through coffee stands that are every where in Seattle.

Street shots of F5 and its court yard.

Shots of the grain elevator that feeds the loading dock. See the Elliot Bay pictures for the loading dock.

Shots of the rail yard that fronts nearly the whole of the bay. These rail lines help move cargo to and from the docks.
